  • I get an error when installing the xorg. It says target not found : xorg-server-utils. It also says localhost and not Arch2017

  • I got an issue with the pacstrap /mnt base base-devel it says that couldn't retrieve file please if someone can help me

  • Thanks for make this video. And while I reboot after install, system stop at "[ok] reached target graphical interface." and the screen keep blink. Maybe caused by graphical driver?

  • For me guest arch was freezing like hell, becouse of wayland active, i could not even log in to system, solved by swapping to another console ALT+CTRL+F2, logging in as root and disabling wayland.

  • I am having the following 2 issues:
    1. xorg-server-utils doesn't seem like to exist anymore (I had to leave it out)
    2. Installing gnome gave me an error about gnome-weather. I reinstalled it again and it finished without error messages. But after a reboot the display manager fails to start properly. It's just a black screen with a mouse pointer. I can't start the terminal.

Edit: After a bunch of reboots and waiting for a while, the display manager finally loaded properly. I was able to log in, but got logged out again and then it went back to the black screen. There seems to be a lot of graphics glitches.

  • Hello,
I have installed Arch Linux Budgie Gnome on VMware Workstation Pro with gnome and there was no tweaks tool, I downloaded and installed it manually, but the problem is I don't have extensions tab in Tweaks (Ex Gnome tweak tools). If you can help me fix this, I am fairly new to Arch Linux.

  • For someone who use the 2018 version, the package xorg-server-utils was removed from official repository. Use xorg-apps instead.

  • nice mate but i have atip cuz now we in 2019 before you do >> pacstrap /mnt base base-devel make sure you edited the mirrorlist by this command and choice your country or any country closed to you by typing >> nano /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist then >> pacstrap /mnt base base-devel

  • hello im getting this message, whitle trying to execute sudo bash" sorry user {myusername} is not allowed to execute '/usr/bin/bash' as root"

  • Can you please do a refresh on this? The section for enabling full screen in VMWare is no longer working anymore in the latest Arch Linux release.
