Hello everyone, I’m Mirko, and today we’ll see
how to update the firmware of the FS-iA6B receiver This operation is necessary to read the RSSI signal to the first versions of the iA6B The models currently on the market are already updated so if a decibel valued appears at this point the update is NOT necessary. To perform the update we need this programmer, it is the ST-LINK V2 in the description you will find the links on where to buy it. Now we download the necessary software,
as always you will find all the links in the description These are the programmer drivers the software to proceed with the update and the receiver’s firmware. After downloading everything, we extract the archives
and delete zip files because we do not need them anymore. First we install the programmer drivers. if you have a 64bit operating system, choose this file if it’s 32bit you have to choose this. my system is 64bit then I run the first file. connect the programmer using the pins below. So we connect CLK with SWCLK, DAT with SWDIO, GND with GND and 3.3V with 3.3V Now we are ready to connect the programmer to the
PC, for convenience we use a USB extension cable Once the utility has started, let’s make sure
that in adress there is 0x08000 So we click on CONNECT Then we go to OPEN FILE and select the firmware we downloaded Finally we click PROGRAM VERIFY, we leave everything like this and click Start. Once the process is complete, the firmware update is complete, we click DISCONNECT Once the wires are removed, we can put the receiver back in his case remember that it is necessary to carry out the bind procedure again.
