Top 3 Best Antivirus Software 2020: What Keeps You Safe Against Malware, Viruses and Ransomware

Hello and welcome back to the Cloudwards.net
YouTube channel. My name is Mauricio and in this video we’re
going to explore the best antivirus software so you can keep your devices safe. Before getting into it, though, make sure
to like, comment and subscribe to stay up to date on everything here at Cloudwards.net. Also, we’re covering something important
at the end of this video for one of our choices which you have to be aware of before pulling
the trigger, so stay tuned. From McAfee to Norton to Kaspersky, there
are a lot of antivirus options. That said, most won’t keep you safe. Instead of finding the most prominent antivirus
software, we searched for the most secure. Through multiple lab results to our own independent
testing, our top three picks will keep you safe no matter what device you’re using. Security alone isn’t enough, though. It was our first priority in making this list,
but we also considered other factors. Usability and price, for example, were also
important. After all, there’s no sense in having an
antivirus if you don’ t know how to use it or it just doesn’t work well. We also took a look at features. Good antivirus software goes beyond simply
scanning your computer. There are options like Windows Defender that
take care of that. For that reason, antivirus software has to
come with more than basic protection. Features like a password manager and file
shredder push some services at the top of the list. In first place is Bitdefender Antivirus, and
for good reason. It’s as if the developers had a list of
our criteria when creating the service. Starting with protection, Bitdefender holds
up in all of our hands-on testing, even under the harshest conditions. Independent labs back up our findings, too,
with Bitdefender receiving nearly perfect marks from the three labs we use as reference. AV-Test awarded it a perfect score against
zero-day attacks, cementing Bitdefender above the industry average. AV-Comparatives found similar results, awarding
Bitwarder an Advanced Plus certification, which is the highest award AV-Comparatives
gives out. The usability and features are on point, as
well. Bitdefender includes a password manager, limited
VPN, a file shredder and a secure browser. Considering the features, Bitdefender is surprisingly
cheap at around three dollars per month. As with most antivirus software, you’ll
save the most by subscribing for a long term. However, Bitdefender rewards that investment. Second is Avira, which makes the cut on the
back of its long list of features and excellent protection. Going over all the features would require
a seperate video, so be sure to check the description below for our full review. As for protection, Avira goes toe-to-toe with
Bitdefender. Using live malware samples and phishing URLs,
Avira blocked every attempt to infect our test machine. Independent labs sing its praises, too. Looking at the results from the previous year,
Avira was consistently above the industry average against most malware. The results are all the more impressive considering
Avira offers a free plan. The free plan isn’t much compared to Avira’s
paid options, but thankfully, an upgrade is less than fifty dollars per year. Rounding out our list is AVG, which we’re
including based on the strength of its free plan. Protection is good, though not on the level
of Avira and Bitdefender. Lab results are solid with AVG blocking most
widespread threats. Our hands-on testing didn’t inspire much
hope, though, as a few pieces of malware were let through. If you’re looking for a free antivirus,
though, no one does it better than AVG. With no money down, AVG offers browser monitoring,
ransomware protection and real-time protection. It also includes AVG’s Secure Browser, which
is basically Google Chrome with a password manager, ad blocker and privacy cleaner built-in. Do know, though, that using AVG means that
Avast, the company behind it, will sell your data. That’s something to keep in mind. And what I was referring to at the beginning
of the video. Those are our best antivirus picks for 2020. Bitdefender still takes the crown, though
AVG is a good alternative if you need a free piece of software. Be sure to let us know what antivirus you’re
using in the comments below, and don’t forget to like, comment and subscribe. Thanks for watching. We’ll see you next time on Cloudwards.net.

  • Top 3 start here: 1:40 Hey guys, getting a good antivirus is even more important in 2020. This is the one I personally use and trust: http://bit.ly/bitdefender-cw
What solution are you guys using, please comment below.

  • With Windows I use a combination of Windows Defender and Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes when it comes to free It always seems to find things that others don't when I tried other ones. Avast use to be my favorite but has had privacy problems recently.
